i love holidays. and even more i love holidays where we get to celebrate the heros of today, our men and women in the service. a big thank you for everything you do to keep me and my loved ones safe. i'm proud to be an american!

mutt strut at keeneland on monday. (also memorial day and thus a paid vacay day!)

josh's birthday (and kev's visit) wednesday june 2nd.

jennifer's rehearsal dinner thursday june 3rd.

THE WEDDING friday june 4th. (i swear my life will be soooo boring after her wedding!)

visiting with the foshay clan saturday june 5th.

dallas' 2nd birthday june 6th.

bridal shower for my friend sarah on june 12th.

father's day.

trip to chicago with trav june 18th-20th.

barclay's birthday on june 27th.

so that makes for a busy month ahead but i'm glad to be busy.

looking at the list makes me smile a alot because i love all those things that are going to happen. all will be a great time :)

life just got a little less blah!

it's nice to know...

that even lindsay lohan can get into trouble. the more celebs that get arrested, the better i feel about the justice system and the privileged. and, to tell the truth, the better i feel about my life! at least i'm not her, right? read more here!

Great Strides

this morning's cystic fibrosis foundation was a huge success!

not only did they raise more than $20,000 but that was 10x as much as last year.

lilly was there and so happy all morning. {can't say the same for liv!}

i think she knew that more than 80 people were there to walk for her! :)

we all wore pink shirts with "Team Lilly" on them. you should've seen us. even trav wore the bright fuchsia tee!

i don't have any pics...boo...but we had a great time.

i'm amazed how many people continue to be affected by this awful disease.

thanks to my grandma and grandpa pfau for donating to the cause and to travis and barclay for coming to the walk.

this little baby girl has truly touched my heart!

update: liv+lilly

olivia and lilly are growing and getting cuter {and sassier} every day!

now that olivia's three, she's been getting a little bossy and throwing some tantrums. i think it's the terrible three's for her instead of twos! i should say that she's really good for me most days, it's her mama that gets the fits. she also went to the dentist for the first time today and get this, she loved it! she did a great job and even got a special dora sticker.

as for lilly, she's growing like a weed! she's still small for her age but she's getting there. everything has been going well with her doctor's appointments and she's totally adjusted to everything with cystic fibrosis. this saturday is the cystic fibrosis walk for kentucky and i'll be going to join team lilly the 5k at the applebees park. it should be a great time. there are over 80 people coming and travis and barclay are coming too! lilly is starting to roll over and has figured out all about her hands! she loves to chew on them and grab things, especially my hair!

i'm just loving my lankster girls!

it's nice to know...

that there are dogs out there that are weirder, crazier and wilder than my own!

this is maggie, she's one of the dogs {or other children, really!} i watch everyday. this is olivia's chair and i kid you not olivia was so mad that maggie was sitting in it. but maggie looked so comfy that i talked olivia out of "pushing her down from the chair"!

then later that day i found mags sitting like this. how in the world is this comfortable?

you can barely see jake, the other dog, but he's there. he's always there. lilly looks a little mad doesn't she?! well she should be because jake is a cuddle bug and he's always taking up room where there's none to be taken!

Happy Mommy's Day!

i wanted to give a big thanks to all the mothers out there.

it's hard work being a momma and even if your kids don't {or maybe they're to young and can't!} thank you, just know that you're wonderful and every mother is worthy of thanks not only today but everyday!

i myself have the best mommy in the world. period. {don't argue. i'm very good at winning an argument :)}

she is the kindest, sweetest, hard working, loving, supportive, beautiful, generous, fun, hilarious, charming, strong willed, lovable mom in the world.

one of the best compliments i can get, is that i am just like my mother. we look alike {sometimes!}, we sound the same and we have the same strong will.

if i'm anything like her for real, i'll consider myself extremely lucky.

so today, i thank you mom for being the very best and loving mom in the world. i wouldn't be where i am today without you.

i love hunter products. i don't currently own any but i will soon! they have the best rain gear in the entire world. not only are their boots peeeerfect but they have fab fleece socks that tuck into the boot to keep you warm and the bubble umbrella i'm dying for!

so as long as i'm looking stylish in my rain gear, i'm okay with the rain being here.
