happy birthday grandma!
even when we've lost the ones we love so dear, we never forget them.
and so today i want to tell my grandma in heaven, happy birthday grandma brendie!
we miss you and love you more and more each day.

sneak peak
i'm still working on a few things around the new place but thought i'd give you a sneak peak of our kitchen.
we finally got our kitchen cart put together and set all up with my cooking/baking stuff.
i have all my baking goods and spices/oils on the top shelf and all the appliances we use frequently but don't want on the counters on the bottom shelf. i love this cart, and it was only $130 from the better homes and garden brand at walmart!
things are finally coming together and once i finish the guest bedroom and redo our bedroom (and buy a new digital camera!) i'm going to put pics up of the entire house! until then, if you wanna see, you'll just have to come visit.

wishes: navy & yellow
i'm pretty much obsessed with anything navy and yellow at the moment.
i think it's the prep in me.
and with this obsession has come the realization that...
i wear A LOT of navy and yellow.
whoever said blondes can't wear yellow was an idiot.
i have 6 navy dresses. seriously.
i'm redoing the bedroom (yes, already.) in navy and yellow.
my wedding colors will most likely be navy and yellow. no matter what time of year.
dallas is getting a new collar/tag that must be navy and yellow.
i will always bleed kentucky blue but i prefer to wear my team paraphernalia in navy!

I'm so excited to see what she has planned for me!!
I guess i should tell you a little bit about myself,
I live outside Philadelphia with my husband of 8 years;
7 year old son Noah, 2 1/2 year old daughter Willow, and my miniature doxi Maddie (she is 13).
I went to school for design and worked in the fashion industry
right up to the birth of my first child!
YES ... I was that crazy prego lady riding the train
everyday from Philadelphia to New York city!
I really miss working in the city but I think you'd agree with me when I say
giving it all up to raise him was so worth it!
I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite projects with you;

1. i'm so thrilled to have my first guest post today!!! you'll be hearing from jennie over at willow bean studio later today. she's awesome and so is her blog, yay!
2. trav and i have NO (none, nil, zilch, cero, nada, zero) plans this weekend. bad thing? no way! after traveling for the last four weekends i can't wait to be at home and just be lazy or maybe get things done around the house!
3. our last big piece of furniture is finally here and i can't wait to put it together and then take pics and put them up for you all to see!

celeb crush: natalie portman
i have always loved natalie portman but lately i'm crusing on her BIG time!
since we've got netflix i've been getting my fill of movies and a lot of them have her in them.

garden state.
she's a great actress and more importantly an amazing humanitarian.
this was a great movie. super cute. not a big thinker movie. i like those!
