update: baby W

how far along? 34 weeks

baby's size? W is the size of a cantaloupe; weighing around 4.75 pounds and somewhere between 18 and 20 inches.

weight gain/loss? i honestly haven't weighed myself since we went to the doctor last but i'm guessing somewhere around 20 lbs still.

maternity clothes? of course!

starting to show? i feel like everything is getting bigger and bigger but really it's just my bump.

belly button in or out? still in, thank goodness!

stretch marks? nope.

wedding rings on or off? on and i'm planning on keeping it that way by drinking my weight in water!

sleep? sleep is rough these days. and the fact that once i'm up, i'm up is not helping. i read somewhere that the further along you get the softer your bones and joints get so that your hips can widen and therefore your whole body just aches?  not sure if that's right but i totally think it is!

movement? after thinking that he was moving less last week, he's proved me wrong again this week. he moves so much in the morning that it's actually making me feel sea sick...weird.

labor signs? no, and i've had very few BH contractions lately.

best moment this week? started W's baby quilt and i'm loving it so far! hoping to finish it today.

food cravings? french fries per usual. in fact, we found these microwaveable ones at Walmart the other day and they are so delish! seriously, they are better than the oven because they actually get crispy. obsessed.

what i miss: my non-maternity clothes, diet soda (no aspartame for this momma) and sleeping more than 5 to 6 hours at a time (but i don't think this one's coming back anytime soon!)

anything making you queasy or sick? the heartburn is back on full blast this week. i think it changes based on baby boy's position. when is up in my ribs it's so, so bad!

what i'm looking forward to: Easter! we are going up to my aunt and uncles house for lunch sunday and i can't wait to see them.

how are you feeling? i really can't complain. i do, but i shouldn't. we've had such an easy pregnancy and we're just so excited to meet this little boy!

what have we been up to?

i get this question a lot now that we've upped and moved half way across the country.

it's weird, because my answer is usually, "not much."

but that's not really true. or really it's maybe half true, so here's a recap of what we've been up to for the past two months since we've moved.

lots of driving
spending time with momma

going through baby stuff...yay!

putting the nursery together. almost done so i'll share pics soon!

celebrating valentines day with a card from gramma and grampa jacobs.

buying cute baby boy clothes.

taking lots of naps.

snuggling with daddy.

crafting...more to come on these!

being silly.

getting fat!

other things not pictured:
  • finding a church
  • chit chatting with the g-parents over dinner
  • thanksgiving dinner in february at myra's
  • many, many trips to target, babies r us and hobby lobby
  • finding a new doctor that we love
  • registering for delivery day at the hospital (holy cow!)
  • facetiming with schwab and skyping with sisterly and kk
  • new cars
  • T got about 5 job offers and picked one (thank the Lord!)
  • boredom from not working (for me)
  • being terrible at keeping up with fam and friends in ky
  • eating my weight in french fries (still, duh!)
  • date nights at new places in SA

that might be it.

see? it looks like we've been super duper busy but it doesn't seem that way to me. the days pass slow but the weeks seem to have flown by.

we've been here just shy of 8 weeks but it doesn't seem that long looking back but i'll tell you what, my days seem to pass by so slowly and i'm constantly complaint (what's new?!) to T that I have nothing to do.

maybe all these sewing projects i have will change that...

update: baby W

how far along? 33 weeks (holy moly only 49 days left to our due date. that number is a little scary!)

baby's size? W is the size of a durian (yeah, i had to google that.).

weight gain/loss? we have reached the 20 pound mark.

maternity clothes? Yes, I'm full on in maternity clothes now. And today I'm wearing my first pair of maternity shorts. Hot pink ones to be exact!

starting to show? The bump is getting bigger (and bigger!) every day!

belly button in or out? In.

stretch marks? Nope

wedding rings on or off? On.

sleep? tossing and turning all night every night.

movement? still lots of movement from this little one.

labor signs? Nope.

best moment this week? hearing baby boy's heart beat for a long time while at the doctor getting a non-stress test.

food cravings? oreos and milk. lots and lots of milk this week. i think we go through three or four gallons a week now!

what i miss: being able to bend over without peeing my paints!

anything making you queasy or sick? heartburn has been great lately but some of my morning sickness from the first trimester seems to be back now. weird. and unwanted!

what i'm looking forward to: taking it easy this weekend with T. we have no plans and that's just the way I want it!

how are you feeling? good, most of the pressure i've had is still around but i'm getting better at managing it! i'm taking a nap every afternoon which also seems to help since my night time sleep is terrible. i think i'm just starting to get to the "i don't want to be pregnant anymore" stage. too bad we have 7 weeks left!

apparently dallas just couldn't help himself. i might have some competition on my hands with my two baby boys!

update: baby W

how far along? 32 weeks

baby's size? W is the size of a head of lettuce. Roughly 4 pounds and 18 to 19 inches.

weight gain/loss? was at the doc yesterday and am up another 3 pounds so +16.

maternity clothes? Yes, I'm full on in maternity clothes now.

starting to show? The bump is getting bigger (and bigger!) every day!

belly button in or out? In.

stretch marks? Nope

wedding rings on or off? On.

sleep? feeling tired and sleepy all the time but not sleeping all that great. this big 'ol belly is hard to maneuver in bed; tossing and turning a lot all night.

movement? still lots of movement from this little one.

labor signs? Nope.

best moment this week? Catching up on Skype and the phone with some of my sibs and T took me down to the river walk for lunch one day!

food cravings? Dying for Taco Bueno. Still haven't gotten it but I will!

what i miss: sleeping and feeling lighter.

anything making you queasy or sick? heartburn is still bad but manageable.

what i'm looking forward to: the weekend. T's work schedule sucks and I feel like I never see him during the week.

how are you feeling? pretty good. still feeling lots of pressure, which the doc says is here to stay. Things are getting harder for me to do which is frustrating but we are still very much excited for baby boy!

update: baby W

how far along? 31 weeks

baby's size? W is the size of a pineapple, which i seem to be quite fond of these days!

weight gain/loss? was at the doc yesterday and am up another 3 pounds so +16.

maternity clothes? Yes, I'm full on in maternity clothes now.

starting to show? The bump is getting bigger (and bigger!) every day!

belly button in or out? In.

stretch marks? Nope

wedding rings on or off? On.

sleep? feeling tired and sleepy all the time but not sleeping all that great. this big 'ol belly is hard to maneuver in bed; tossing and turning.

movement? still lots of movement from this little one.

labor signs? having regular Braxton Hicks this week, perfectly normal and safe but making me wonder how long he's going to stay in there!

best moment this week? back to sewing! yay, it's about time. i hadn't sewn since before T got sick and it felt really good to get back to it this week. it also doesn't hurt that i'm making sweet little things for the babe.

food cravings? lays and ketchup. although this is weird, i've always loved this combo.

what i miss: being able to breathe and eat without feeling like i'm going to die.

anything making you queasy or sick? heartburn is still bad but manageable.

what i'm looking forward to: making lots of things for the babe and i'm going to be tutoring part time for some extra cash and let's be honest because sitting at home waiting on baby is boring!

how are you feeling? pretty good. still feeling lots of pressure, which the doc says is here to stay. i'm pretty much excited everyday but also sad because 9 more weeks seems like such a long time.
