waiting...

i'm patiently waiting.

i don't know what for but i just feel like something is going to happen.

good? bad? i have no idea but something is coming.

i don't get this feeling very often but when i do, watch out!

i know what i'm wanting but i don't think that's what is coming. more waiting for that too.

i hate waiting. i really do.

Time for Change?

what?

i am so sick of seeing or hearing barack obama.

he decided to run for president of the united states. well, good for him. he promised change. well, good for him. he ran a good campaign and won the hearts of many americans. well, good for him. in november of 2008 we elected him president of the united states. well, good for him. and on january 20, 2009 he was sworn in as our 44th president. well, oh crap.

i'm a firm believer that everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt until proven differently. just like you're innocent until proven guilty. i never dislike someone until they do something directly to me, that cause me to do so.

so, when he was elected i decided to be nice. "i didn't vote for him but i'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt", that was my motto. well not anymore.

i'm not an influential person. i don't personally know anyone in the government and i'm pretty sure none of my words here will change a thing but i am an american citizen and i have a god give, oh wait...can't really say that. i have a first amendment right to say what's on my mind.

well, here's what's on my mind. barack obama, you are just a man. american people who voted for him, you are foolish for thinking he wasn't. why have we been putting him up on this pedestal like he is god and allowing him to trick you.

recently he has said and done some things that i'm just not ok with.

number one, what do you think you're doing with iran? the american people voted for you because you said you would end the war. we're not so naive that we thought you'd just pull all the troops out but we took your word to mean that you'd get them out as soon and safely as possible. but hold the phone, we might be going to war against iran? i don't think we voted for that. nope, we didn't. the way to win our hearts is not to pull us out of one war and drag us into another. and don't you think there might be more pressing issues at hand, right here at home? just saying.

{"Iran is on notice that when we meet with them on Oct. 1 they are going to have to come clean and they are going to have to make a choice" between international isolation and giving up any aspirations to becoming a nuclear power, he said. If they refuse to give ground, they will stay on "a path that is going to lead to confrontation."}

are you kidding me? "on notice"? "a path that is going to lead to confrontation?" says who? you? i definitely didn't vote for this...did anyone? just let me know what you decide barack, so i can move to canada, k? thanks.

number two, did anyone catch what he said about our schools? wow! more school, less vacation. let's think about this for a moment. i understand that our schools are not as great as say, china or japan. but if we wanted to live there we'd move, right. let's take in to account that some schools here in the states that have done this have seen some positive results, but couldn't we also see those results with better teachers, more funding for certain programs, fewer kids in the classroom due to illegal immigrants and the list could go on and on. aren't there 100 things we could do differently before we take away time from our children? i don't have any kids of my own but i know people who do. i don't think they'd appreciate not seeing their children until 7pm on the weeknights or not at all saturday because they're at school for the sixth day. don't we have enough problems with kids spending time with their families, considering the amount of t.v. and video games out there. now mom and dad have to compete with school too. how about the extra curricular activities? how can you have football practice, choir, church, volunteering, and all the other various clubs and activities that allow kids to express themselves based on their talents and what they like to do? not to mention, every kid needs a break from school so they don't get burnt out. just ask trav, he was in school for about three years straight and it just about wrecked him. so the deciding factor here seems to be do what's best for kids or do what looks best for the united states to the other countries out there. obama mentioned that his girls don't want to be in school longer but are they ever there? i'm sure they are but they're also traveling a lot. are they required to go to school longer everyday and during the summer months as well, even though they're dad is the president? and maybe our education system would be better and our children would learn more if our president didn't feel the need to interrupt classroom time to "talk" with our children. i'm just saying.

number three, health care. now i'll be honest. i don't really understand a lot about what's being said. but that's kind of saying a lot, isn't it. i hear the news and i read the stories but i still can't come to a complete understanding. is that because it's a little far fetched and ridiculous? maybe. are there good parts and bad parts? maybe. but if the president can't lay it out in terms we can all understand, who can? who will? the link posted below is straight to obama's health care reform page. i can't understand most of it. i'm just saying.

there are so many other issues going on in this country:

immigration
the economy
energy/global warming
international relations
crime
church
abortion
and so many, many more.

the only thing i can think is that obama is trying to make this country a socialist one. i so did not vote for that. did you?

i keep asking myself why people would want that and i believe it is because this "gift" of socialism was wrapped in gold foil to make it look like something better. he has a way with words. people allow themselves to get drunk on his words and the soothing undertones of his voice. oh sure, he can light a fire in any one's heart but do you really know what he's saying? are you really listening? i wasn't. but i am now.

i don't want to be a socialist country. i don't care if it's working in other parts of this world. i believe in this. the united states of america was founded by god fearing mean, who came to america to seek refuge from a government that was persecuting them because of their religion and their will to be free minded people. we started on christianity and small government. not god-free and government-full.

if i wanted to be a socialist, i'd move to china or vietnam, or cuba. no wait north korea. yeah, north korea for sure. i'm just saying.

love dreamer

so i've decided that i'm a love dreamer.

there are so many things i want and wish for and dream about.
{don't all girls?!}
but does that hurt us in the long run?

i mean, say things are great one minute and then the next they get so sloppy and clouded because you start thinking about all the things that could happen rather than what's happening now.

is it so awful of us to think,

"hey why wait. life is too short. why don't we just do what we want now and worry about the rest later? why not live and love and be happy with what we have and not want or long for what we don't have."

and why is it that when we give someone the ultimate compliment, they don't believe it or they insist that something is too good to be true.

just believe me and come along for the ride because it's better to be with me than without me.

and on another note. why do things have to be perfect before you live, really live? nothing is ever perfect so the waiting time is forever.

so i'll be honest. i want something. something that i can't have right now. hopefully it's not forever and one day it will be mine but until then i'm still dreaming.

i love texas!!!

there are so many things i love about texas...

DUH!

but one of my most favoritest things texas is "the best little whorehouse in texas".

it is quite possibly the best movie of all time...well that might be stretching it a little.

but i love it.

and a lot has to do with texas but also because i heart dolly parton, a lot.

she's amazing and her boobies are gigantic in this film, wow and her hair is so big {and white}!

i know all the words to every song and am singing along as i type!

i gotta go. dolly calls. just watch it!

{this is my fav song in the whole movie!}

i'm not at work today

happy labor day y'all!

do you know the reason we celebrate labor day?

i encourage you to look it up {just google it!}.

what would we do in this country without the laborers of our country.

thank you!

i have the best sisterly in the world!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTERLY!

Oh Meg, what can I say about you today, your 27th birthday?

It hasn't always been easy for us but somehow we managed to be pretty good friends. It's amazing how much alike and different we are at the same time. I think maybe you like me more now that I'm a little more grown up and not so much of a tattle-tale! Although, let's be honest I don't think I'll ever completely grow out of that!

You are a beautiful woman. Kind, loving, generous, smart, hard working and non-judging. Now, you can be a hard-ass when needed and we all love to be sarcastic but you truly know when to have fun and when to get down to business. It's been great watching you as you've finished school and gone from job to job to get to where you are today. An inspiration really, as I start my own path into my career.

So for you on your birthday here is my top-ten list of why I love you so...

1. Although we're not blood related we do look a lot alike. {until you chopped all your hair off and it's not blonde anymore!}
2. Our shared love of Mi Cocina.
3. Your ability to tell me the truth even if it's not what I want to hear.
4, You have/had the best clothes.
5. You give great advice...about everything.
6. You do not smell like a boy..thanks Josh and Killian.
7. Hanging out with me in Lexington for a few days. There's nothing to do there and it gets pretty boring, but now you can come to Louisville!
8. You can be the girliest girly girl or totally rocking the sports/outdoors world.
9. Your love of sports, duh it's your job!
10. Your unfaltering love for your friends and family {me!}
*side note: it's really 11 reasons*

And the number one reason I love you is because you are my Sisterly and while some might say I have to love you, it's great that I want to love you...because you're just that awesome!

Happy Birthday Yo!
P.S. sorry this is posted on the 4th, i know your actual b-day is September 3rd.

one of my fav picks of us...and shelby!
i don't know why this is so tiny.

sibs minus k.
loving on our furry sib.

my first day at my first REAL job!

GLCC!
{GLCC logo and "Spirit" our mascot!}

today was the day.

i have officially begun my career as an event coordinator at glcc/the jambrands!

i'm going to be doing so many things that i cannot really tell you all the details of my job but i'm going to love it! i'll be super busy but i'll love it.

i found out today that they hire part time people to work events {travel with us and work with us at the actual event. all expenses paid plus a pay check!}, so travis can come and work with me, which will be great and give us a chance to see each other! anybody can do it really so if you want to just holla atcha gurl!

today and the next two days are orientation and training so i'll be learning a lot and hopefully by the end of the week i'll be able to tell you what i'm doing in more detail.

i do have my own desk and space. it's not really a cubicle and def not an office so i'll just call it my own space! :) i'm going to put a few pics up and bring a mug but it's more professional to have a clean/clutter free environment.

i'm super happy, super excited and super tired.

more later this week 'cause i gotta go to bed...i'm a working gal now!

if you wanna check out my new company go to:

{this is how excited i am!}
