i'm sure you're all aware that my birthday is in three days. three days, people! so here i am with my last minute wish list. 

although i've already gotten a lot of the things i really wanted, like the new iphone, time with family and friends, oh, and that little thing we're planning so diligently for at the end of september ;) 

but if i just had endless amounts of presents waiting for me on my day of birth...

 to be honest though, i just want to eat cake and spend the day with T and my pup. and that's exactly what's going to happen!

wishes: the wedding

we love the place we're getting married, like love, love! the only problem we've run in to is the fact that you'll be able to see me walking from 100 yards before my dad and I would finally get to where T will be. to remedey that i've been browsing pinterest and i think i've found the best thing ever! instead of walking directly from the barn (where our reception will be) to the dock (where the ceremony is), i think i'll have some form of transportation pull up right behind something like these...

let's talk cakes.

we want something simple. and plain.

sorry but i like most things plain jane.

vanilla cake with buttercream frosting is where it's at. in fact, buttercream icing is the way to my heart. it's also the way to me having a heart attack i'm sure.

(i'll let you in on a little secret though. i LOVE pumpkin flavored cakes so maybe, just maybe, we'll have one?)

i'm obsessed with all things ikat. i'm looking for fabric to buy right now and will make some pillows for our living room. i've got this itch to redo every room in our house. seriously? i don't even have the time or the money for that! but i figured adding some pillows would help alleviate that feeling. and maybe rearranging some furniture if the boss will ever let me!!!

what do you think? do you love ikat? my couch is a sage green color and huge. i'm thinking of doing a mixture of colors so that our whole house isn't green, navy and beige.
