friday's fabulousness

so glad this week is over.

it's been a long and stressful one for sure.

but i'm sure no of you know what that's like, right?!?

i am excited for the weekend however, because it will be the total opposite of this week!


1. T and i are going to see this tonight. can't wait...

 


 2. my mom's fam is all getting together for a big cookout tomorrow night. can't wait to see them all. they're coming from all over; new york to california!

3. my aunt lynn is hosting a bridal shower for me on sunday. i'll get to see all my dad's fam. and eat cake. i love cake!

4. family dinner is sunday night too. my aunt and her girls are in from florida so it'll be nice to spend some time with them, catching up about life down there.

5. check out this awesome "cake" i made for my uncle's birthday. i'm pretty sure every guy i know will be getting one of these on their bdays from now on!

friday's fabulousness

well this week just flew by for me. anyone else feel that way?

here are my favs...


1. finally getting home sunday evening and snuggling with my boys.

2. i'm spending the whole weekend in lex with all my AOII girls. it's paint weekend and they're working on recruitment stuff. it's going to be so much fun watching them get it all together. hopefully i make it back home alive and well sunday after three days living in the pi house!


3. wednesday night my aunt katie and i saw savages. we really went for blake lively and tim riggins (holy hotness) but it was actually a good movie. in that shot 'em up, dope 'em up, sex 'em up kind of way! and yes, i have super cool aunts who will go see rated R, sexually explicit, foul language, drug related movies. she's awesome. be jealous!





4. picked up my wedding gown today!!! no sneak peaks for y'all though.


5. mom bought me this shirt over my weekend in dallas and i LOVE it!!!

friday's fabulousness

as you all know, T and i just moved. we also started new jobs recently. we're also planning a wedding and getting to know a new city. life is moving. fast.

in order to slow down i've been taking some time just for me.

1. i love this song. i also love taylor but that's beside the point. it's just so soothing. i also love the hunger games.

 

2. now that we have real cable (!!!) and dvr, i'm obsessed with watching all kinds of things i haven't been able to before. and now i can watch shows whenever i please!

3. decorating is actually a HUGE stress reliever for me. i love using stuff i already have and changing it up in a different way. how convienient that we just moved and i had to decorate all over again! this one of my favorite areas in our new house...we finally have a bar, albeit small one. but still, a place for all our new bar stuff (thanks joe and alex!)

4. mom booked my flight to dallas for july fourth weekend! can't wait to see all my fav people down there. we're going to shop and eat and wedding craft all weekend. get ready gals! 

5. going to see this with the bestie tonight. can't wait! it also helps that i get to see maddie and cuddle her all night, if i want!

to say that 2012 has been a huge year (and will continue to be) for me would be an understatement. in the last two months, T has gotten a job in louisville which led to us having to move away from Lexington which led to me quitting my job with the Lanksters and finding a new job in our new city. 

i've been pushed to my limits but i know that it's what's right for me, for T and for our future.

but (and this is a huge but!) how do i leave the best two little girls in the whole world. how do i tell them, that while i love them, i have to go? 

with that in mind, today's going to be hard. i'll probably cry at some point. actually there's no probably. it will happen. but i don't want today to be a total sob story. instead, i'd really just like to remember it all. everything about the last two years.

well, friday is here once again.

to be totally honest, i'm not loving our weekends lately.

too much house hunting, packing, cleaning, money spending.

but, there's an upside to all that.

we'll be in louisville in just weeks.

i'll have a new house to decorate.

friends and fam nearby.

new places to explore.

oh, and that little thing happening in september? yeah, more planning to do for that thing!

so with our new home on my mind, today's fab is all about the home...
