feel for lumps. save your bumps.

as we all know (or you should at least!), this month is breast cancer awareness month.

saturday night during a bout of insomnia i watched the movie Five on lifetime. it's an amazing collection of five short films directed by some amazing women in hollywood. and the actors in the films? amazing!

i would encourage everyone to watch this. it was eye opening and has made me realize that no one is invincible from breast cancer.

FYI you will need tissues. seriously. i balled like a baby. in a good way.

well, it's officially fall in kentucky. the leaves are turning. some are falling. i've had my first cup of hot chocolate. i'm preparing to hoard myself inside as the weather gets cooler. these are the months of my best crafting! i'm making my first pumpkin recipe of the season this week and the crock pot has it's spot out on the counter again. pumpkins are enjoying their spot on the front porch. halloween costumes are being prepared. tailgating and football watching has commenced. new sweaters are being purchased. scarves have been pulled out of storage. my northface fleece is all washed and ready. this weeks weather looks fabulously fall like.

i'm ready!

this week's fab is a little random. here we go.

1. hoping to finish up a baby quilt this weekend. my first quilt! i'm so excited for the outcome and i just know the person i'm giving it to will love it!

2. T and i will have to finalize our halloween costumes this weekend. my vote?

4. i'm officially giving up soft drinks. i mean, they really are terrible for you but they just make me feel so lousy. my stomach and head have been aching all week and i'm pretty sure it's because i've drank more soft drinks this week than the entire month of september. sad face because i love me some dr. pepper.

p.s. planning a wedding is super fun when you get to all the creative/diy stuff but finding a caterer and photographer and all that junk is seriously blowing my mind. at least it ends with T and me married!
