i am finally finished with the babe's nursery and cannot wait to show you the pics.
this was so fun to put together and thanks to some very generous family and friends, cost us very little!
here we go...
as you first walk in.
W's door with his homemade banner from great aunt myra. ikea chalkboard previously used in our kitchen for notes to baby W and to hang things. W's closet with a homemade fabric garland and his full, full closet!
this is his changing table area. T gave me the moose head for christmas and i couldn't wait to put it in the nursery. all the prints were printed at home; some bought on etsy and some were free from different blogs! the actual changing "table" is part of the expedit system from IKEA as was the bar and buckets/basket (we're stocking those up with wipes and diaper cream as well as toys to distract!). the sweet cross was a gift from my grandma and grandpa peavler.
here's the rest of the room! the recliner/rocker is my grandparents and the dresser is from our bedroom. the crib was a gift from my dad and jillian. see how lucky we are?! we also picked up the cute gray lattice rug at garden ridge for super cheap!
here are all the little details.
the lab canvas was made by me, had to throw a little dalpal in the room!
the print above his crib is my favorite. it says "hello sweet little boy".
the ledge shelves are from pottery barn and were a birthday gift for me from my momma a couple years ago. they are perfect to hold pics of our family as well as prints of Texas, New York and Kentucky. three states that are really important to our families and can't wait to introduce W to!
curtains are from target. i altered them a little since they were super long and added the gingham ties.
above his mirror are little clipboards with alphabet flashcards that spell his name.
i LOVE the green favorite frame. once we have his newborn pics taken we'll swap them out.
close up of the changing table.
more decor. and no we won't be burning that candle!
the inside of his crib. i love, love, love that sheet. it's from dwell studio and matched perfectly with the bedding set we were given from W's aunt Dale at our louisville shower. and of course he has to have a super cute stuffed yellow lab named dallas!
i can't believe this room is finally done. we have everything we need (for now!) and can't wait for baby boy to make his appearance so we can show him around. i hope he loves it as much as we do!
