amazing arrival!

i love this and so wish i was greeted this way at the airport. welcome home!

update: weight watchers

so this week i've tried two new foods.

greek yogurt. this is the strawberry flavor. it's actually really good. not tangy like regular yogurt. too bad after three bites i realized it was expired! i'll be buying this again though.

o. m. g. i can't even tell you how much i love this carba nada pasta. it weighs in with 24 grams of carbs, 6 grams of fiber and 12 grams of protein. awesomeness. plus at only 3 ww points for 1.5 cups i think i'd eat it every day!

update: dalpal

so dal and i had to take a little break from our walks last week while i was getting over a sinus infection. but we've gotten back to it this week. it's been drizzly every day and cold so i decided dal needed a jacket!

dal and i are soooooo ready for our walk!

look at how cute he is with his new coat!

my lovely view every morning and night!

dal is loving this walk thing. especially when i let him walk through the monkey grass. he just loves that tall grass tickling his stinkin' cute belly!

crafts: new necklace

so i've been crafting! i can't even wait to show you everything i've been doing but you'll have to be patient!

first up, a new necklace (one of about 5 i've been making!)

i made this one from eyelet trim, elastic brown gingham ribbon, felt and hot glue.

super easy, super cute!

awkward self portrait (i totally cropped my face out of this!)

laying flat

i love this and even one of the mom's at liv's gym class loved it and wants to talk more about me making some things for her and her girls. sweet!

recipe of the week

beef stew

ingredients: 1 lb. stew meat, 1/4 cup of flour, 5 cups of veggies (we used carrots, green beans, corn and potatoes), 2 tsp. evoo, beef stew seasoning (waaaaay cheaper than buying all the spices you'll need!), 3 cups water.

time: about 3 hours but we cooked it all day (last monday actually when i was sick and at home all day.)

brown the stew meat with the flour and the evoo
then pour in the water and let it simmer for an hour.

while that's cooking cut up your veggies (or open the frozen package or can!)
after an hour of the meat stewing, add your veggies and cook for at least another 2 hours (or until your veggies are tender. ours took at least 2 hours).

enjoy!

btw. this recipe is only 3 ww points per 1 cup serving!
